Actually? Every other 3D program I have used had this capability. This seems like a bug to me - non a lack of feature

The text editing feature in Paint 3D is currently not available. The only edit options are Cut, Re-create, Paste, and Delete. We encourage you to submit your issue using the Feedback Hub. Yous tin either vote on an existing submission or submit a new effect. When you submit a feedback item we gather additional details and information about your issue that will help determine what's causing it and address information technology. Feedback items regularly receive Microsoft responses on the submissions in the Feedback app then you lot can encounter what we are doing about your feedback. In order to submit new feedback, please follow these steps:
i. On a Windows 10 device, search for "Feedback Hub" in Cortana search, then launch the app.
